ʻUa faʻatulāfonoina le Komisi o le Gagana Samoa ʻina ʻia (the Samoan Language Commission was established to):

[1] “Unaʻia, faatumauina ma faasinoala ina ia ola pea le faasamoa, ae maise ai lava i le gagana ina ia avea ma auala e fesootaʻi ai, ma ia avea ai foi le aganuu ma tofi faasolo ma ia tamaoaiga i le poto ma le iloa e mafai ona faailoa atu ai le tele o tofi faasolo ma ia tamaoaiga i le poto ma le iloa e mafai ona faailoa atu ai le tele o suiga ma le soifua atiaʻe o le tagata;”
