Samoan Resource Development Project

The Tālā le Taui Resource Development Project will increase the proficiency of traditional knowledge among the youth of American Samoa. 

Basic information will be collected from the various villages of American Samoa, including:

1. Faʻalupega - The traditional honorifics of villages and districts
2. Aliʻi ma Tulafale - The traditional chiefs of each village
3. Malae, Maota ma Laoa - The traditional meeting grounds and meeting houses of each matai and their families
4. Names of each land in the village (and the origin of their names)
5. Tala o le Nuʻu - Origin stories of the village and other prominent village stories

A digital profile will be created for Tutuila and Manuʻa as a resource for everyone to access.
